Many of us only think of seeking medical
help when we have a particular problem.
Most of our time spend with the doctor
or nurse will focus on that problem and
finding something to cure it.
Rarely do we seem to get an opportunity
to spend any time with a health
professional to explore the ways in
which we can improve our general health
and reduce the chances of developing
illnesses in the first place.
Taking positive action to improve
general health and well-being and
prevent illness sounds easy but can
often be quite hard to achieve in
practice. There are some very
simple things that we can all do that
have the potential to make us feel much
better, more energised and less likely
to succumb to illnesses like diabetes,
heart disease, cancer, stress and
obesity.
We want to help you make decisions and
take positive action when it is needed
and are ready and willing to talk to you
about this at any time, not just when a
problem occurs. We have also
researched and established on our
in-house computer system, a range of
information sheets, incorporating
information and action suggestions and
advice, on a wide variety of topics.
All of the Team can access these during
your consultation and give you take-home
information to help you make adjustments
that can improve your health and quality
of life in the longer term.
You can pick up the leaflets below from
